LADYS ISLAND OYSTER FACTORY "FULL SHELL" CUFF LINKS. One of my fondest memories growing up in Beaufort South Carolina was crossing the Lady's Island bridge every morning on my way to school and seeing the mountains of Oyster Shells on Factory Creek at the Lady's Island Oyster Factory. The Lady's Island Oyster Factory closed for good at the end of the 1986 season in the "heyday years of South Carolina Oyster Canning it employed as many as 300 people. The Oyster Factory Cuff Links are Lost Wax Cast from the original wax carving by Curtis Hart in Vintage Silver Bronze , they feature the top and bottom shell between the post.
