Bull Creek Oyster Paper Weight: Bull Creek connects the May River and the Intercoastal Waterway at Daufuskie Island; it also is the location of a Sea Islands Public Oyster Bed. The Bull River Oyster Shell Paper Weight was cast from an actual "intact" single select found which was found there. It is rare to find an almost prefect single shell and even more rare for the actual shell to remain intact, due to the tremendous heat generated in the mold process. We were very surprised that the mold was able to be completed perfectly with no chips or cracks. The paper weights are cast in solid Pewter with a vintage polished finish.
